About Us

The Hub of Talents in Bioplastics for Use in Medical Applications (BioMED HUB) is an interdisciplinary network of national and international institutions dedicated to developing and advancing expertise in bioplastics for medical use. BioMED HUB comprises 9 leading educational/research institutions in Thailand (CMU, CU, NU, NSTDA, MU, PSU, MFU, RMUTL, SU), 4 private sector collaborators and various international partners. BioMED HUB aims to enhance research skills in bioplastics for use in medical applications, increase the number of experts, and promote collaborative research. It prioritizes creating mechanisms for group development, providing researchers with opportunities to expand their knowledge, and the fostering of cutting-edge research. This session covers the design and development of bioplastic materials and medical devices for use in the associated industries. The primary objective is to reduce the country’s dependency on expensive imports in line with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To achieve this, BioMED HUB plans to establish new networks for collaborative projects with research groups both at home and abroad and, in doing so, promote knowledge transfer and the global advancement of research and innovation.
